4.27.12 - Further Away cover art (front and back)

I was hoping to get an April 2012 release for this album; however, it looks as though things are being pushed back a bit. The final mixing process has been going pretty well, so I anticipate Further Away being available for digital download sometime in May. In the meantime, here is the cover art (front and back) that will be included in the digital download. Click the image to view a larger size.

2.16.11 - iTunes and Amazon.com

WORLD OF TREEZ music is now available on iTunes, Amazon.com, and at all of the other major digital distribution retailers. This means two things:

1. Unfortunately, all of the past releases will no longer be "free" downloads, however, the first two releases will remain free when downloaded directly from the band. Everybody involved in making -WORLD OF TREEZ- what it is, works very hard and puts in a lot of time and effort to create this artistic experience. The fact that we are selling the material directly (worldoftreez productions is an independent "label" run by WORLD OF TREEZ) will help us grow and enable us to create more material without the burden of having a "record company" take the profits.

2. We will continue to offer free material from time to time (tracks we're working on, teaser tracks, older unreleased songs, videos, etc.). And as always, all -worldoftreez- images are available for free at Flickr.

1.31.11 - mixing Further Away

Over the next couple months, I plan on beginning the final mixing process of the Further Away EP (in addition to working on and completing several other projects). I've been sitting on these songs for about 2-1/2 years now, anxiously waiting to get back to them and finish the album. There is definitely a much 'heavier' and 'distorted' feel to this album than in the past.

Over the last 3-4 months, I've taken a different approach as to how I've been writing and recording music. Instead of dwelling on different thoughts and ideas, and constantly trying to adjust everything to get that certain sound (as I have done in the past), I just let myself go and let the music flow. During this process, it seemed as though I would finish a new song every week (-and sometimes I would complete a song in a weekend-). A few days ago, I decided to mix (-very lightly mix, I might add-) what I had started creating in September. I now present to you... Golden.

12.01.10 - Into The Wild (EP)

So it's taken me about 2 years to put this piece of work together, from inception to completion. You can download Into The Wild for free at bandcamp. Along with the music, you will also get a few -worldoftreez- images with your download.

Writing, recording, arranging, and mixing this album was actually a very arduous task, and I'm glad that it's finally over. This album can be very uneasy at times, and there is raw emotion flowing throughout. It could be considered a difficult listen at first, but I think in the end it is also very rewarding. It didn't turn out exactly as I had planned, but I'm satisfied enough to move on to something else - mixing Into The Wild's sister (brother?) album - Further Away, which was recorded during the same sessions as Into The Wild.

With that said, I've had enough, and I'm going to sleep.
